I bought the DA:O Ultimate pack yesterday, though I've never tried the game before. But man, I'm totally hooked by the game. I've been playing for a couple of hours, but the game seems to be missing some. Steam Workshop does not support this game, but I found NexusMods has a huge community considering Dragon Age mods, so I want to try my luck on there. Are there any suggestions about which mods I should get?

I would love to hear about your experience! I've currently only unlocked the developer console, but yet have to do something with it. I'm also running the game on the highest possible quality, which, frankly, my computer is capable of handling, with just 2,99Gb of RAM. Using Nexu's 'top 100 most endorsed files of alltime' is always a great start to look at if you are just starting to play a game with an already well-established mod community: Otherwise, some of my favorite's are: Polygamey: Allows you to romance multiple NPCs at the same time (though you miss some 'catfights' and bickering between party members. Might not want to use this until later playthroughs). Teleport: Adds a mage spell in your talent tree, which allows you to teleport to a certain spot visible to you.

This is especially invaluable when you want to backtrack some mines in the awakening expansion, but can also be used to 'skip' a certain annoying puzzle in the 'trials of the gauntlet'. Baldurs Gate II Redux - Module 1 Irenicus Dungeon: This is still a BIG project in the works,to recreate the game Baldurs Gate 2 in the Dragon Age engine. The first dungeon has been released and is playable. Rather than suggesting that you download this though,I suggest that you just keep an eye on this project for now until it'sreleased (yes, it's still being activelyworked on). Skip the fade: You shouldn't use this in your first playthrough, since it's actually pretty fun to play through the fade the first time imo, but it does get tedious after you have made multiple characters. Extra dog slot: Allows you to bring your dog in addition to your 4-man party. Lock Bash: Readds the feature to bash locks, that the devs decided to remove at the last minute before release.

Good if you don't want to feel forced to bring a rogue. Make console commands visible: If you ever feel like activating the console in DA:O,you will quickly notice that you can't see what you type in the vanilla game. This mod fixes that.

DAModder: My favorite mod manager for DA:O. Can't get much easier to install mods than this. Here's the list of mods I use that I posted in the other thread [dragonage.nexusmods.com] [dragonage.nexusmods.com] [dragonage.nexusmods.com] ^The three essentials, in my opinion.

The first two do a very nice reworking of the game and the third makes the interface more readable. Originally posted by:UPDATE: First step: Installed DAO Mod manager is complete. Now off to installing the major overhauls. Hope I'll still be able to run the game on highest quality. Talking about graphics, forgot this one, Lightening enhanced: Recommended especially if you think that the vanilla game looks a bit too 'blurry' for your tastes. This sharpens the edges and textures of the game, among other things (personally I prefer to run it without the ENB modification, but might just be me). Make sure to install this last though, after you have made sure that all the other mods are running as they should, since it is a tad bit trickier compared to the other mods that you can just throw into the DAModder.

Modding DA:O is more complicated than I thought. It seems I have to install everything to a folder that is NOT in the steamapps folder, but instead in My Files BioWare instead. And there are a lot of folders I must or mustn't leave unattended. I'll try nevertheless.

Am I supposed to leave everything in the folder or not? I'm looking at Improved Atmosphere at the moment. I think I succesfully installed the Dragon Age Redisigned, using the Dragon Age Origins Noncompanions with the.exe file in there.

It's been some time since I installed that particular mod, but from the description you are supposed to just drop the whole 'improved atmosphere' folder into your 'override' folder - THEN you delete the folders you might not want. Just keep reading the instructions to see where you want to make a decision.

Here is one example (quote from the instructions): '2.6. Merchants: Modified the stock of certain stores. Also made merchants sell some items found in 'Items'. You need to choose only one version: - In the 'Default Buy from Player Values' you will find stores that only have modified stock. Price ranges remain the same as in vanilla. (Revised in v1.3.) - In the 'Modified Buy from Player Values' the stores have modified stock and price ranges: 35-65% (merchants with fewer funds [e.g.

Taverns] will offer less for your goods). Only 'buy from player' stats have been changed. (Revised in v1.3.) Requirements: Gold Material, Tints, Items.' That is, you delete EITHER 'Deafult Buy from Player Values', OR 'Modified Buy from Player Values'. Originally posted by:Did you add any of the romance mods? I *adore* hugging Alistair!

I just love Alistair as well! I haven't installed the hug mod (yet). I've installed Equal Love, Active Alistair, Alistair Kisses, Anyone Can Marry Alistair, and some side-mods improving overall performance such as Improved Atmosphere, White Teeth, Natural Bodies, No Armor Hack, Vibrant Colors and FaceGen Morph. The latter was necessary due to 2 separate CharGen files which could cause conflicts. I convinced Alistair to rule beside me but the game crashes even before the fight with the Archdemon. Primavera 6 Product Code Keygen Generator Golf more. I'm installing everything all over again and look for conflicting files.

If your game crashes at certain spots you can always try to lower your graphics settings. It usualy works.

Hey Folks I've been installing mods for Dragon Age: Origins for the past few days and finally thought I was ready to play. I started up the game; created my character; sat through the introduction sequence at which point Ser Duncan strolled into the room.

I assume this is an issue with the Natural Bodies modification as I do not have any other mods installed that has anything to do with naked body models. If anyone could offer any assistance I would be very grateful. Regards, Aidan •. Normally I would say that you have a conflict between GWoF and another mod, resulting in the absent gear, but none of the mods you've listed have such a known conflict ( the only mod in your list I'm not familiar with is 'LelianasArmor', but I doubt that would cause an issue, unless it puts her in heavy or massive AND it conflicts. Can't remember which Duncan is supposed to be in, sorry.) Are you 10000000% certain that you've correctly installed Grey Wardens of Ferelden?

It's one of the more complicated mods to install, and TBH, most of the issues I've seen with it are user error. There are two parts to the mod: a required DAzip which has the actual armours and weapons (the 'CORE' file) and an optional override component, which adds the items to NPCs and, IIRC, to the player's inventory. (I think that archive is called 'the Main' file.) The second archive contains folders for compatibility with a mod you aren't using - Improved Atmosphere - as well as the standalone files. (The desired Main files must be installed manually, and not with the Nexus Mod Manager.) tl; dr: You need both the DAzip and one (and only one) option from the Main archive for NPCs like Duncan to equip the gear.
