Hi, i got a new comp for x-mas and its windows vista premium with windows media player 11. I can play dvd's on it if i insert them myself, but it wont allow me to play downloaded videos. What happens if you use the Xvid decoder and not the Divx decoder? What happens if you use the FFDShow divx/xvid implementation? What ensures that the right codec is chosen for the decode in question? Have you / people complaining followed up with DivXNetworks?
